MUSTANGS RECORD REGIONAL WIN
The Morrison Mustangs elimminated the Erie-Prophetstown baseball team from the IHSA Class 2A competition with a first round win Thursday afternoon.
Ben Raney had three hits and Eric Deboer added a 2-run double to lead the Mustang offense.
Jason Smith held the Panthers to five hits while striking out six and the Mustangs move on to the Championship game on Saturdy against the winner of Friday's game bertween Mendota and Fulton.

Fillies Eliminate the Rams
The #3 seeded Morrison Fillies eliminated the #5 Riverdale Rams in the opening round of the IHSA 2A State Tournament.
The Fillie offense was lead with Megan Nelson, Jordan Mann and Keisha Hodge collecting two hits each and Amanda Smith driving two doubles to accompany Ashlie Patten's three hit pitching performance. Patten struck out ten and only allowed three singles as the Fillies positioned themselves to play the #2 West Carroll Thunder for the Regional Championship on Saturday.
Game time on Saturday is 12:00 p.m.

Regional Baseball Schedule Altered

Due to the weather, Erie/Prophetstown and West Carroll were unable to play on Tuesday. The play-in game is rescheduled for Wednesday and the first round of the Regional was moved to Thursday at Morrison.
The Thursday game between Mendota and Fulton was moved to Friday afternoon and the championship game will be played as scheduled on Saturday at noon.

Congratulations to Sauk Valley Softball for winning the Division 4 tournament. They beat Kishwakee 10-1, then Illinois Valley 8-2 and again 4-3.
